Jacob Hershey and his brothers start the Hershey Creamery Company in Pennsylvania. It's a separate company from Hershey's chocolate.

1916

Hershey's Ice Cream is sold at over 100 places in Harrisburg, and the plant can make 5,000 gallons a day.

1926

Hershey's builds its first ice cream plant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
